Jennifer Waterman – President and Founder (deceased 2020), was born in England where she played her junior tennis. In 1987 Jennifer and her husband Jerry established the Stephanie Waterman Foundation in memory of their daughter Stephanie.

Amy Hatch facilitates positive resolutions for her clients. She focuses on debtor-creditor relations, while primarily representing banks and loan servicers with enforcing their rights with respect to defaulted loans. Amy has significant experience with commercial loans, with a specific focus on CMBS loans. Amy recognizes the value of understanding her clients’ ultimate goals and objections, and she actively advocates and negotiates on behalf of her clients to meet their expectations.
For over case is years, she has represented her clients in state and federal courts, including bankruptcy court. In addition, when required, Amy has negotiated numerous loan workouts on behalf of her clients outside of the courtroom. Amy understands and appreciates that every case is unique and often requires an equally unique resolution.
Lisa Creighton-Hendricks – Director at Large. Lisa Creighton Hendricks practiced law for 13 years in Kansas City focusing on litigation and utility regulation. She also worked in Bonn at the German Telecommunications Ministry and Deutsche Telekom. Lisa has an undergraduate and a master’s degree in political science from Kansas State University. Her law degree is from Washburn University. She served 8 years in the Kansas Army National Guard, receiving a commission and leaving the military as a first Lieutenant. Lisa has served as a City Council member for the City of Mission Hills, Kansas for six years.
Kevin Lehr – Director at Large. USPTA Certified Tennis Professional: originally from Derby, Kansas, where he was a Kansas State High School Tennis Champion. He went on to play at Kansas City Kansas Community College, The University of Kansas and graduated in 1984 from Bethel College with a B.S. in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation. While at Bethel College, he also coached both the Men’s and Women’s Tennis Teams for two years and taught at Riverside Tennis Center in Wichita, Kansas.
In 1985, Kevin began his 30-year teaching career in the Kansas City area at The Carriage Club, followed by four years as Tennis Director at Rockhill Tennis Club, and 13 years at Homestead Country Club in Prairie Village, Kansas. He is currently in his tenth year as the Head Pro at Indian Hills Country Club in Mission Hills, Kansas. Some of his duties include managing the USTA Junior Team Tennis program, KCJTL, and Adult Tencap Leagues. Kevin also served on the Board of KCJTL in 2012 and 2013.
As a player, Kevin was ranked #1 in the USTA Missouri Valley rankings in Doubles and Singles. He was nationally ranked as high as #2 in his age group for three years and competed at the national level throughout much of the 1990s. He won the 1997 Men’s 35 Grass Court Doubles Championship and was a runner-up in six other national tournaments. His most recent national tournament appearance was in 2010 when he competed in the USTA National Senior Team Championships in Indian Wells, California.
Paige A. Salveter – Director at Large, VP of Marketing NAIA. Marketing professional with over 15 years of integrated marketing and advertising including brand management, social media and content strategy, public relations, online marketing, events and promotions, and business development. A strategic marketer who executes strategies efficiently, Paige achieves targeted results with people at all levels of an organization while fostering strong cross-functional teamwork resulting in positive results.
Malachy Connor – Director at Large, Owner of Malachy Connor Landscape Design & Installation for 12 years. Malachy has supported the Foundation as a tennis instructor and served as a Director on the board for six years. He has been Professional Tennis Registry certified for five years and served as the teaching pro for Non-voting years for the Plaza Center (Kansas City, Mo.) before joining the foundation.
Elliott McDermed – Elliott joined the SWF in 2018. He is the Co-owner and founder of KCUT, LLC and the Overland Park Racquet Club. He is also the Head Consultant for Kansas City United Tennis, LLC. Management Services. Elliott was born and raised in California, played college tennis at the University of Redlands and Baker University, and graduated with a BA degree in Religious Studies.
Elliott has over 24 years’ experience developing collegiate level tennis players. He is the former Vice President of Junior Competition for HOA USTA. His contributions include USTA Coaches Commission and Missouri Valley Section junior competition committee member, USTA Net Generation National Ambassador, Tournament Director USTA Women’s Pro Circuit event, Kansas City Challenger, and PTR professional coach mentor.
Elliot’s awards include 2010 High-Performance Coach of the Year HOA, and 2014 Distinguished Service for HOA. He also serves as the Team USA player development coach and contributor.
Board Advisory:
Kilmeny Waterman Connor – Non-voting Ex-official Director. Kilmeny was the head tennis coach at the University of Kansas where she was recognized as the 2002 Big 12 coach of the year. As a player, she competed on the WTA Pro tour for 3 years where she was world ranked on both singles and doubles and played in more than 30 countries. A USPTA certified pro, Kilmeny has a B.S. from Trinity University and a Master’s degree in sports administration from the University of Kansas.
Steve Burton– Non-voting Ex-official Director, Burton is a former Area Manager for the Kansas City Site Office, National Nuclear Security Administration, Department of Energy. His office was responsible for oversight of contractor manufacturing operations at the Kansas City Plant (Honeywell).
