Nutrition & Fitness

The healthy food choices curriculum is designed as an introduction or reinforcement to the basics of nutrition. We use the MyPlate format to present the concepts of nutrition.

Each participant receives a MyPlate kit which outlines portion size and quantities for carbohydrates, proteins and fats and guidelines for what to eat at each meal and for snacks. We will discuss nutritional balance, and students learn the differences between carbs, proteins and fats, and how they work together. And last focus on discipline.
